Athenaship

Q. What is Athenaship?
A. Leadership Identity Work for Those Who’ve Never Quite Fit the Mould

Athenaship® is a research-informed leadership identity programme for senior and emerging leaders — particularly those from underrepresented groups, or those who’ve ever felt they don’t quite belong at the top table.

It’s for women who are capable, experienced and credible — and who still sometimes find themselves adapting, over-preparing or questioning whether they’re “too much” or “not enough.”

This work is not about becoming someone else to changing who you are.

Quite the opposite.
It’s about recognising that many of the traits you’ve been taught to soften, hide or apologise for are often the very qualities that make you a strong, distinctive leader.

When those traits are understood and owned — rather than managed — leadership feels lighter, and exciting again. More like you.

Pro Bono Work
Job application work with disadvantaged women
One of the most rewarding things is to receive an email saying that because of the help you've provided, a smart young women in poverty has got a well-deserved job the first time of trying. The Young Women's Trust leads this amazing work as well as being a driving force in activism for young women.
Consultancy and coaching for social enterprises
We're working with a theatre company, drinks education organisation and baby loss awareness charity to provide strategic consultancy and to ensure their stories are heard.
Our signature Athenaship programme for women getting back into work
If you are unemployed or have had a career break and have minimal income, please get in touch for a free or heavily discounted Athenaship session.
We love that setting up Yellow Shoes has allowed us to work with so many new people and support them when they need it most. Here's some examples of pro bono work we do to make our services as accessible as possible.
